Christen practices in the firm’s Community Association General Services Group. She has several years of diverse real estate experience which includes drafting and negotiating various agreements on behalf of commercial landlords and handling Land Use and Zoning matters on behalf of wireless telecommunication providers. Christen graduated magna cum laude from the University of Tampa where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminology and minored in Law and Justice and Government World Affairs. She later attended the Emory University School of Law where she served as a coach for the Emory Moot Court National team and was also inducted into the Order of Emory Advocates. Originally, from Jamaica, Christen enjoys any activity involving a warm beach and also loves to travel.

Industry Experience

Following law school, Christen began her real estate practice as a Foreclosure Associate at a mid-sized real estate law firm in Atlanta. In this capacity she completed title review and represented commercial lenders throughout the foreclosure process. She has also led a site acquisition team as a Real Estate Specialist for a Fortune 500 company where she obtained land use and zoning entitlements for wireless telecommunication providers. Christen has also worked within the transactional and litigation practice for a small firm within Metro Atlanta where she primarily represented commercial landlords on various leasing disputes. Prior to joining Lazega & Johanson, Christen served as In-House Counsel for a Fortune 500 company where she drafted and negotiated various commercial agreements.

Christen has served as a Pro Bono lawyer with the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation, supporting members of the Atlanta community who are living in unsafe housing conditions or at risk of eviction.
