Students will learn the purpose and procedures for levying assessments against members and the roles of the board of directors and property manager in collecting assessments to operate the community. Learn to identify the most effective procedures for collecting assessments, to determine when legal action is appropriate, and to understand the litigation process for collecting assessments. Students will be trained to recognize alternative procedures for collecting assessments and to appreciate varying levels of aggressiveness in collection alternatives.
