Instructors Jamie Platt Lyons and Jannette Shockley are covering a variety of new laws and court decisions impacting community associations and their managers.
Students will learn about the most updated cases related to community association law on a variety of topics and how to implement best practices to avoid the situations addressed in these cases. This includes understanding the changes to Georgia state law with respect to virtual meetings and identifying best practices for how to be more efficient and effective at annual meeting planning and implementation in a new virtual world. A few other topics to be discussed are leasing amendments, non-profit corporate code changes, obligation to repair, lending guidelines for FNMA/FDMC and updates to HUD.
