Stefanie is originally from New York but grew up in Atlanta. She got her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Kennesaw State University. When it came time for law school, Stefanie headed back to New York where she attended St. John’s University School of Law. Currently, Stefanie lives in Buckhead. In her spare time, you can find Stefanie at the Pilates studio for a workout or playing tennis.
Industry Experience
Prior to joining Lazega & Johanson, Stefanie partnered with the NYC Bankruptcy Assistance Project. This program is part of Legal Services NYC, and it provides free bankruptcy assistance to low-income residents of New York City. Stefanie’s work included screening debtors for Chapter 7 pro se proceedings, advocating for debtors at creditor meetings, confirmation hearings, and motion arguments. This work was done pro bono to provide bankruptcy relief and a fresh start to debtors, so that they can get jobs, find apartments and keep their wages.
