Kathryn practices in the firm’s Community Association General Servicing Group.

Industry Experience

Kathryn has a wide-range of experience in representing community associations, including drafting and amending covenants and bylaws, negotiating and drafting various service and construction contracts, governing document interpretation and enforcement, property tax appeals, developer turnover issues, property boundary disputes, attending and presiding over membership meetings, litigating collection enforcement cases, drafting and reviewing environmental covenants and advising on state and federal law compliance issues. Kathryn also routinely represents association clients in obtaining and closing community association loans, and enjoys representing clients with, and has extensive experience in, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating easement and license agreements and other real estate related matters.

Prior to joining Lazega & Johanson, Kathryn represented insurance companies in subrogation actions and has handled a variety civil litigation matters in trial courts throughout the State of Georgia.

Kathryn is a member of the Community Associations Institute of Georgia. She currently serves on the Community Associations Institute of Georgia Magazine Committee and is a regular contributor  to the magazine publication “Georgia Commons.”  Kathryn is also a member of the Church of the Apostles in Buckhead.
